Fay stories. We all know them. We’ve all grew up with them. It takes a pure heart to believe there is a magical world deep hidden within our world.
But magic does exist. It is in the golden hour of the morning or of the evening when the light reveals this magic realm usually forbidden to our human eyes.
Here’s a faerie story. Seen with my camera. Only for your eyes.
We celebrated this year in Romania the National [International actually] day of the “Ia”, which is the Romanian traditional blouse, organized at the initiative of “La Blouse Roumaine“.
On the 24th of June we celebrate the day of the Sanziene, gentle faeries in Romanian folklore, and the most beautiful maidens in the villages dress in white and pick up these pretty yellow flowers called “sanziana”, or “dragaica” and there are a lot of celebrations and future telling. Must I say that I love these traditions?
And so you can see us wearing these gorgeous whimsical blouses. Both of them are around 100 years old each, inherited from my mother side of the family, and together with the “fota” from my father side of the family, which is a Bulgarian one, I have a pretty mixed traditional port.
Someday maybe we’ll take them all out for a shooting, it might be a wonderful session.
Here you have a beautiful board on Pinterest to see more of these beauties.
