Friendship. Such a powerful meaningful word. Friendship is what shaped me into what I am and got me all this way, friendship is what I treasure most in this world. Because it is rare. It is precious and it is God sent. I know it.
I do believe in that saying “friends are the family we choose for ourselves“[ Edna Buchanan]. It is true. It is so true, it makes my heart smile when I think about my friends.
These two fine ladies are the best. Part of my family and part of my past, present and future. Friendship that lasts over the years, passes all perils and fights together with you against all demons. I am truly blessed to have them in my life, and I give thanks for their support every day.
We took a long walk in the city, on one of the hottest days of this summer, but all I remember is the laughter. I am summer intolerant, I loath the heat and yet, all I remember from this day is the laughter. And the struggle to keep our faces straight for the pictures.
Two iced coffees and one apple-orange juice [they were out of carrots, to Michelle's surprise and our giggles] later, we took another walk and a thousand more photos to document the city date.
Enjoy your crowded, deserted city, as it might be these days of summer. And take a few loved ones along, you’re in for a treat.
